Summary

A homeowner in Newcastle needed a safe, reliable setup for their new EV charger, along with updated protection for their home's circuits. The old fuse board needed replacing to support the charger and comply with current safety standards.

The Work

Removed the existing fuse board and installed an 11-way RCBO consumer unit with fire-rated enclosure and surge protection
Inspected and tested the home's wiring, then issued updated electrical certificates for compliance
Routed new cabling through the garage and installed the client's EV charger on the external wall
Connected a data cable for load curtailment, then tested and commissioned the new system

The Outcome

The property now has an up-to-date consumer unit that meets safety standards, and the EV charger is fully operational. The homeowner can charge their vehicle with confidence, knowing the installation is protected and certified.
